Steve Moffitt is a partner in CNP’s Washington, DC office. After nearly 20 years working in Washington, DC, Steve has earned his reputation as the go-to guy for those looking to understand the federal government and mechanics of the legislative process.  Steve services a wide range of CNP clients, including high tech companies, universities, research organizations and military contractors. Steve has successfully secured tens of millions of dollars in congressionally directed funds for clients by marrying the needs of the U.S. Government with the capabilities and expertise of his clients. He has been able to find legislative solutions that have saved clients tens of millions of dollars.

Before joining CNP, Steve served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Senate Affairs, the key liaison between the DOD and U.S. Senate.  Prior, Steve served on Senator Don Nickeles (R-OK) staff, first as a Legislative Assistant, and then as Legislative Director.  Steve focused on defense, foreign policy and trade issues.  Steve played a role in the passage of the International Religious Freedom Act.

Steve's Capitol Hill career began in the office of Congressman Jim Saxton (R - NJ), where he gained his specialized knowledge on defense base closures.

Mr. Moffitt is a native of California and the author of three books. He is a graduate of Brigham Young University.
